Welcome to Alderway.
By using our website, submitting a referral, volunteering, donating, or interacting with our organization, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
About Alderway
Alderway is a family-founded community initiative currently in the process of establishing as a nonprofit organization. Our mission is to serve Greenwood and surrounding communities by helping neighbors reclaim safe, welcoming outdoor spaces through property cleanup, debris removal, and practical support during difficult seasons of life.
As we continue to grow, our services, policies, and available resources may evolve.
Referral Process
Every Alderway project begins with a referral.
Submitting a referral or requesting assistance does not guarantee that services will be provided. Every request is thoughtfully reviewed based on factors including, but not limited to:
Available volunteers
Funding and donated resources
Equipment availability
Scheduling
Safety considerations
Project scope
Whether the request aligns with Alderway's mission and capabilities
We reserve the right to accept, postpone, modify, or decline any request at our discretion.
Referrals Submitted for Others
Many referrals are submitted by friends, family members, neighbors, churches, or community members.
By submitting a referral, you confirm that the information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you believe sharing it is in the individual's best interest.
Alderway respects the privacy and dignity of every individual referred and may contact them directly before scheduling any work.
Self-Referrals
We welcome self-referrals.
If you're requesting assistance for yourself, simply complete the referral form using your own information in both the "Referring Person" and "Neighbor Receiving Help" sections.
There is absolutely no shame in asking for help.

Alderway is committed to disposing of all items responsibly and in accordance with Greenwood County and South Carolina regulations.
Because the safety of our volunteers, our neighbors, and our community matters, we're only able to remove items that can be legally and responsibly transported and disposed of.
At this time, Alderway cannot remove or transport items including, but not limited to:
Hazardous chemicals or household hazardous waste
Paints, solvents, pesticides, fuels, or propane tanks
Asbestos or suspected asbestos-containing materials
Medical or biohazardous waste
Explosives, ammunition, or firearms
Radioactive materials
Unknown or unidentified substances
Items requiring specialized disposal
Any material prohibited by Greenwood County or South Carolina law
Some items, including electronics, appliances, scrap metal, tires, and construction debris, may require disposal through designated recycling or landfill programs. Acceptance of these items depends on local regulations, the condition of the materials, and Alderway's available resources.
If we're unable to accept an item, we'll gladly explain why and, whenever possible, help point you toward the appropriate local resource for safe disposal.
For the most current disposal guidelines, please visit the Greenwood County Solid Waste website:
https://www.greenwoodcounty-sc.gov/
Property Access
By requesting assistance, you confirm that you are the property owner or have permission from the property owner to authorize work on the property.
Alderway is not responsible for removing items that were unintentionally identified for disposal by the property owner or authorized representative.
Please identify any items you wish to keep before work begins.
Volunteers
Alderway projects are completed by volunteers who generously give their time and skills to serve our community.
While we strive to complete every project safely and professionally, volunteer availability, weather, equipment, and other unforeseen circumstances may affect scheduling or project completion.
Volunteers are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and safely while representing Alderway.
Donations & Sponsorships
Financial gifts, donated supplies, and sponsored cleanups help make Alderway's mission possible.
Unless otherwise stated, donations are used where they are needed most to support current and future community projects.
As Alderway is currently establishing as a nonprofit organization, donations should not be assumed to be tax-deductible unless otherwise communicated in writing after the appropriate legal status has been obtained.
